Kathryn Freeman: Dance 1000-Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

The painted story lies at the heart of Kathyn Freeman’s artworks. Symbolism and magical realism enliven her classical compositions, and her narratives nod to a universal human connection. As part of Freeman’s Animal Dreams series, Dance expresses the lyrical beauty and magic of Matisse’s eponymous cameo while prompting reflection on how habitat encroachment is affecting wildlife. The fox family has leapt in from the wild yet moves to the music in Freeman’s dreamlike sanctuary. And the cellist plays on.
